Markdown connects everyday writing, technical documentation, and many AI workflows. As more tools process what we write, privacy and control matter more. Faye MD pairs capable editing and preview with a local-by-default design: your documents stay on your device in an open, portable format, while you decide whether to add plugins or use connected services.
Write with clarity
Draft and review Markdown with syntax highlighting, document search, and synchronized preview. Move between editing, preview, and split views as you refine your work.
Keep your work close
Keep documents in Browser Storage, open local Markdown files, and export copies with included images when needed. Tabs and recent documents help you return to your work.
Make it your workspace
Choose a theme and editor preferences, then add optional math previews or private document history. Manage installed plugins and the amount of data they save from the editor.
Stay in control
Faye MD does not send document text or images to an online service unless you choose an action that requires one.
Protect important documents
Save or export backups of anything important, especially before clearing browser data or changing browser profiles.
